Get a laugh at my primer

Just installed a primer on my GP760 except I have to pump it literally like 30 times to get fuel to go.
The fuel just goes back in forth in the line going from reserve line (where I t-ed in) to the primer and it never goes into the outlet line going to the carbs? Any suggestions?

Be sure you have the lines to the primer bulb hook right. You may have them reversed. If they are right try priming the primer by sucking on the carb tube as you pump. Watch the fuel as it goes to through the lines as not to get a mouthful. It should stay full of fuel then.

Sounds like the lines are backwards on the primer itself, try switching them around and see what happens.

Once it finally fills up the line and catches it will pump fine (after about 30 pumps I can feel it start to catch and actually start pumping fuel).

Bad check valve in the primer plunger. They don't last forever. Had to replace mine last year for the same thing.

That place is a bad deal. I'd avoid them. Many members here have had issues with them.

I've dealt with Cape Fear a couple times and had no problems.

Multiple members have ordered things from them and they just never showed up, including myself. I called and called and called and got no answer. Sent a couple emails also.

Sorry to hear that. I needed some pistons ASAP and called to see if they were in stock, they weren't, so they had them dropped shipped to me. Arrived in two days. No problems.
Maybe they treat us local North Carolinians differently?
