    Rxp-x issues with speed

2011 rxp-x, completely stock, 8 hours. top speed 63mph, 8200 rpm. outside temp 85 water temp 80 no wind, 3/4 tank full, trim 1 bar above half, water was smooth. seems like something fishy here.

When your @ 8200 RPM do the RPM's remain consistant or are they bounching between 8200 and 8120 ish. Reason I ask is because your stock ecu will not allow you to stay at 8200. At that point you are hitting the soft limiter and it will drop you down 60 or so RPM's, softly bouncing.

Couple that with the shovel of a stock grate you have down there and it's a recipe for slow boat.

If its not cavitating, your speedo may not be working properly. Did you GPS it?

+1. Did you use a GPS? Check your wear ring and prop...

    I agree.

    Welcome to the forum!

When I had my T-X it took a bit to get use to the soft limiter.
The X ecu can fool you if you don't pay attention to what point on throttle you are actually hitting 8,200 rpm.

Well with that being said who knows what it really is running on mph.
Normally the dream o meter is faster then reality so that would put you even slower.
You need to get some gps numbers or we are just pissing in the wind. (not trying to be a jerk just being honest)
If the prop got dinged up enough you could have some blade or blades out of pitch and easily be on the limiter.

gonna get new prop, r&d grate, solas 15-22 prop and see if that fixs it

    Sounds good!!!

    Oh and get a GPS!!!

If you pull your prop take us some pics of the trailing edge of blades and can tell pretty easy if could be possibly on limiter.
Beter yet measure the distance from the base of prop (when sitting flat on surface) to the tip of the blades.

I bet your on limiter as the ecu takes a good 7-10 hours to run full bore.
Did it run less rpm before you sucked up the rocks?

I don't think it will pull a 15-22 without some other mods, unless there is big difference between the '11 and my '09.
