    driveshaft issue after todays runs

well I went 87.0 mph today but the last run I got a bad vibration, so I shut the ski down. When I got to the dock the reached in and grabbed the driveshaft, I cun pull it up and down maybe 1/8" total, hard to tell. Just wonder if anyone has any ideas before I pull it apart tomorrow.

Here is a vid of the run today, I also posted it in my project thread.

    Awesome results!!!
That Ohio Air seems to make some power.

Is the slack to the prop end or drive end?

Curious, how much boost was that and what your RRFPR is set at ?
I assume good AFR at wot.
Not doubting your setup just like to learn as to what the Riva can handle.
    Thanks

Pump bearing...if so u caught it just in time. U could have: 1) froze pump and had to paddle
    2) taken out thrust bearing in motor
    3) killed prop/stainless ring
    4) sank because of the carbon seal w/ shaft moving
and the best one 5) all the above

Hopefully pump bearings. The blades are still there from what I can tell. It did seem to take in some water then stopped?? I had just raced a 33 foot daytona cat with twin 600's, suprised him a bit, he runs 110 or so but I hung with him for awhile. He offered to tow be back at 100mph, I declined!!

yeah, he came up on me about 60mph, he hit it then I did, the spot where we were racing really narrows down and I was getting too close to the back of his boat, maybe 15 ft. I didnt want to get caught up in the rooster tail behind it so I let out. It was funny though because the passenger waived bye at me right as I pulled next to them WOT, the expression on his face was priceless!! I will say it sounds crazy that close to that boat at wot.

The boost is 19-20 psi. I think the RRFPR ended up are about 62 with the hose hooked up. The afr is around 12.0 wot right now, a bit leaner than I like. It's also spraying the meth water mix.

might want to run gear oil in those pump bearings if you take a look, grease wont do a good job lubricating them as well as oil, and you will have better peace of mind. Not sure why Seadoo went with grease instead of oil like they did in their older skis, that never really needed a bearing change, now every one is having to replace them at or near 100 hrs. Just my .02
