Events For 2007 To Watch For

2007 looks to be an active season for gatherings for all of the members on the boards.

This is a reminder to look into the future and pay attention to what's being planned. This way, everyone knows what is happening and when. This will also help in asking for time off work for those that will need to do so.

    1) April seems to be the starting month for the main events. JD-1 From the SD side of the board is having his first annual event at the Lake Of The Ozarks (Missouri).

Jet Draggin' April 20-23, 2007 Lake of the Ozarks

    2) Stay tuned for a gathering from the Fountain Gang for the month of May possibly (To Be Determined). This will the the 2nd annual gathering put on by Tommy Jordan, Barry & Keith Miller. The first gathering was on the NC / VA line at Kerr Lake and had about 25 ski's show. This was a huge success. This will be a gathering that will test just how long you can go on a full tank of fuel-be prepared to ride 200-300 miles in two days time, and also be prepared to ride until the sun is long gone. This is a fun ride to do, but you better be pre-pared because this isn't a place to do radar runs all day then put the boats up. Location & Date will be determined by the Fountain gang at a later time.

Fountain Eastern Seaboard Gathering / May 2007 (TBA)

    3) And of course June, which is the most popular event/gathering to date in the non-sanctioned arena. The 3rd Annual Mudbug Nationals hosted by Jerry Gaddis "Green Hulk". Expect to see well over 200 ski's this year and also to see the fastest PWC on planet Earth all in one place.

    Mudbug 3 / June 7-10 / Morgan City, LA

    4) Pretty quiet (as of now) until the first week of September when the APBA Watercross Nationals is held in Nashville, TN. Many of the board members went to this for the Radar shootouts and to see the pro's race as well. Not sure if this will continue to be in Nashville or if it will be at the same time as before. So stay tuned.

APBA Watercross Nationals / September 2007 ?? / Nashville, TN

    5) World Finals / Lake Havasu, AZ / October- the grand daddy of all sanctioned events in the world brining in thousands and thousands of people and hundreds of racers from all over the world.

Date TBA / October 2007 / World Finals - Lake Havasu, AZ

    6) November - Annual Destin, FL gathering in which many members like to attend and also some of the fastest ski's in the world usually show as well for a weekend of racing, riding, and hanging out.

Destin, FL / November 2007 / Official Dates TBA

    I'll second that.

We'd love to have you as part of our team. There should be room in the Motorhome for you.

Thanks Dan, Let's put my best friend to rest first and see where to go from there. Sorry T C, I can't race with you on this race. Hopefully, Catalina Race I will make it. Dan, you can do the Catalina race too. We don't have to be hard core about it, Let's just show up and have fun!

Wounded Hero Appreciation Ride in San Diego

    HERO APPRECIATION RIDE
Please join us with your PWC or boat as we spend a day with our recovering wounded Heroes from the Iraq/Afghanistan War, who are recovering at San Diego Naval Medical Center. To show our appreciation and to say “Thanks”, we will offer rides to our Heroes (on the back of our ski’s) around San Diego Bay. Please bring your PWC or boat, and extra gear such as life vests, chairs, pop-ups and wetsuits.
Because of a recent media frenzy, only volunteers (+ immediate family) with a PWC or boat will be allowed in the Marina, which is on Navy property. If you plan on attending, you MUST send an email to [email protected] , with the number of seats available, to get on my volunteer list that will admit you to the Marina, get the date, time & location of the Ride, and let me know how many Hero’s we can accommodate. This will be a great day to spend with our Heroes both under the sun and in the water. This event is being supported by the Wounded Warriors Project, American Watercraft Association & Fiddler’s Cove Marina (MWR). Lunch will be provided. Liability waivers must be signed before the ride by ALL Hero Rider's. There will be more information soon.
    Thanks !
    Ray Hinton
