    Rxp pump shoe fins

Hi everyone can you help me
On my Rxp pump shoe Some of the fins are worn and damaged
Instead of replacing this shoe can you just cut the fins out
And make it smooth would this affect performance
    Cheers steve

Yes sand it all pretty. Remove the pump and driveshaft for this and you're all in there. I used a dremel tool to fine tune mine as best as I could. Also this is a good time to get in there and true up all the pump seams with some good sealant to keep the water velocity traveling through there nice and high

Using a soft sanding block helps to level those fins too

Ok then that will be my job for tomorrow now then
And is there any particular silicon sealant needed
    Or can you use any
As you can tell I am new to all this but I am fed up with paying dealers to do the work I know I can do
    Myself

I used one of those DAP brand products. Some black stuff they have. I don't have the remainder of the stuff so unfortunately I can't quote the exact product. It's at the auto parts stores. a couple to choose from and everyone has their favorites. You want a good product that sets-up in about 10-20mins. Not some cheap bullshit that takes 24hrs... Which in reality means it won't cure for a week
