any tips? 50:1 right? so basically run it till the tank is almost empty then dump the oil in then gas it up and it will mix? i can do this on the water if i need to refuel at a gas dock? i bought 2 oil premix bottles. any other tips? i guess i gotta pull the whole hatch off to get the pump off right? drain oil tank zip tie the sensors and leave the tank in??

I used vice grips to clamp off the oil line. Then removed it form the pump. Once it was disconnected from the pump I removed the entire assembly and drained the oil after removing the vice grips.

It's a pretty simple modification. You shouldn't have any issues.

I have a couple bottles of oil I fill up under my seat, just in case I have to refuel away from my dock.

I mix 40;1 on my 1100 Raider, and use a ratio jug to measure the oil Pennzoil marine synthetic from Walmart. I removed my oil pump and all the lines but kept the oil reservoir and now use it as an auxiliary gas tank.

Running amsoil injector oil will allow a 50:1 ratio. This oil is fully synthetic and has lower ash after combustion which can effect the reed valves.

i did the premix to my raider also, pulled the pump and lines, used the old oil nipples on the carbs for the primer setup i put on,kept the old oil tank and rerouted the fuel lines so the oil tank is now the reserve gas tank and when the main tank runs all the way out then i put it on reserve and it take it from the oil tank.i use walmart supertech 45-1 been doing it for 2 years now works great.the oil tank give me another gallon of fuel capacity.

So you just removed the choke plates and left the choke shaft in the carbs?

40;1 is fine you can leave the choke plates...... Most people install a primer kit and remove the choke and shafts.....
