    2012 rxpx vs 2012 rxtx vs 2012 gtr215 - comparisons???

    hey jerry
( or whomever has ridden the new rxpx , gtr and rxtx 260)

seadoo have made my next purchase decission even harder.... i ve loved riding my 2010 rxpx , its nibble, responsive and i love 2get out in the chop for a bit of air and wave jumping... i often ride my mates 2010 260 rxtx , great in the rough stuff, turns well, but feels heavy and bit unresponsive (stock ski).. the only bonus it was 3 seater so a bit more wife friendly...
i guessed i wish there was something in between, a 3 seater with the performance/handling of the 2010 rxpx..nibble ,agile
i guess the question is, how does the gtr 215 compare to the rxtx 260, and the new rxpx... is the gtr215 the ski that will deliver a combination between the tx and px....
im sure a couple of mods will quickly address the lack in power, but handling , is the gtr more like the rxpx 2010 or rxtx 260 ??

The GTR 215 is the ski i will be buying next year. Has the lighter GTI hull which i love, and is more fun to me.... coupled with plenty of power. A few mods and you will have a fun ski that is as fast, or faster then the RX's

The GTR is only 2" longer than the new RXP-X 260, and 47lbs lighter

    It's considered a 3 seater.

Sounds like a promising hull! What about the hull shape and rough water capabilities

I didn't get to ride the GTR, but I did ride the 2011 GTI 155 (same hull), and handled very well. Felt better than my RXP in chop.

I rode it for about 20 minutes. I thought it felt a lot like my RXT 215, maybe just a bit lighter.

im a little dissapointed of the new 2012 rxpx 260 because it is as large and heavy as the 2011 rxtx, so i gues it will be slower and heavier than the 2011 rxpx......

The GTR 215 will be a beast if Jerry does re-flashes similar to the X skis so you can run a 2 rude and raised rev limit. The 2012 RXPX will still be king in the chop and turns for CC. But for a rec ski I would rather have the GTR 215 as long as ECU upgrades are available.

Is a promising ski for sure. Before people were buying GTI hulls and either supercharging or turbocharging them. GTI hull is more fun IMO and when you compare 3 seater to 3 seater (2011 GTI vs 2011 rxt-x) the GTI is 110lbs lighter.

Now, they are supercharging a GTI hulled boat for us As much as I like the new RXP-X, i was WAAAAYYY more excited when i learned about the GTR 215.
