FZR BUCK ...emergency room... Thinking of law suit

My girlfriend, me, and another couple (fx sho) were making a trip from key largo to key west. Going about 60 mph this thing just came to a complete stop threw my girlfriend and me about 30 feet. My girl got all the wind knocked out of her and at first I just swam over to her to see if she was okay. After about 3 mins of sitting in the water I started feeling the pain in my shoulder after taking my life vest off it was clear my shoulder was completely dislocated after about a 30 mile ride to the lower keys emergency room ( which has to be the best emergency room I ever been too ) and a Couple of X rays I had a broken collar bone and a dislocated shoulder after getting it popped back in I felt fine. The next day I was able to ride back to key largo switching often with my girl. I took Monday off from work and returned Tuesday i felt great just a lil sore I am a BMW tech and I was pulling some carpets out of a 328i and my shoulder popped back out had to go back to the emergency room I'm only 24 years and now I can't return back to work until I get cleared by a doctor I have regular medical insurance but no type of disability I know enough people have been hurt by this to actually have a case against yamaha any advise guys I really love my ski but feel that a lot of other people could be getting hurt by this same situation should I sue ??

I see you put a FXSHO they do not have issues with throwing you off at 60 it's the fzr-fzs that do. Or did you put that the other couple were on a FXSHO.

But even the FZR's do not have a problem with stuffing at only 60 mph.....

you need to be talking to a lawyer for advise..not a bunch of gearheads on the internet.....a ski is like a motorcycle and you take a chance everytime you ride......I just got my leg messed up in a ski wreck....im not sueing anyone as I filed it under shit happens.....I know its a bad deal and I feel your pain..my leg is still swole up after a month.....I am gonna keep on riding..you have an up hill battle if you take on Yamaha corporation..... get an r&d intake grate...if you were a regular member of this forum you would have known to get the R&D intake grate , thats what I did, and my fzr is flawless, anyway Good luck.

Your right Jerry, I meant when you chop the throttle at wide open and it hooks to the left because of the stock grate.

I just got my ass kicked by an intake grate at 70MPH and I'm just so happy I was able to walk away, no need to suit the people that are working so hard at providing me with parts to enhance the sport of riding my ski. Shit happens, Julio...
