Check me on my cooling sys understanding!
I have a '93 SL650. I am putting the fuji back together as I type. IF all my gaskets are sealing properly and the pressure test is good, The ONLY way water can get into my cylinders AGAIN is if I run the water/cleanout when the engine is not running. CORRECT? Lacking of course something breaking, etc.
Ya see, thinking it was a closed sytem, I ran the hose for a good while when it was not running, knowing that I was cleaning it out real good! DUH?! The it ran lean for a bit and I blew the PTO. That was 9 years ago and it's been garaged since!
When it's back together, it's gonna be pretty and run RIGHT!
