Hit a dead head that put a 1' gash in hull. Need repair opinions.

We were out trail riding last night and 2/5 of us hit the same deadhead lol. We came back to the beach flipped the ski's over and discovered big gashes in the keels of the ski's. My friends 04 Rxp and my other buddies 06 Rxp went right through. I need your guy's opinions on how to go about fixing these. I have 10 boxes of the 3M bondo fiberglass repair kit's in the garage and I was wondering if that would stick to these hulls or do I have to go out and buy special epoxy?? Today we are going to start by draining the fluids and flipping the ski upside down then cleaning up the area with a die grinder. So should I attempt to use the bondo fiberglass repair kit with resin and mat or do I need special mat and epoxy?

    Thanks!

Think you might want to remove the engine or at least support it.

Haha this isn't Florida, we don't have big snakes here. Spent a few hours today taking the ski off the trailer and leaning it on its side and went at it with the grinder. Tomorrow we will epoxy!
