    Question JD-1 Innercooler pictures needed?

Sometime back someone posted some pictures of a JD-1 Innercooler which had broken the mount off of it. Then there was a post with pictures of how they rewelded and reenforced the rewelded mount. I used the search function but I could not find it. Does anyonk know of the link to that post? Please give me the link for it if you know where it it. Thanks, Tommy Jordan

I cant give you pics but I remember the one your talking of. It had to little triangle pieces welded under the bracket that looked about 30-40mm long I think.

Mine also cracked. I got my hand on some aluminium from work that was perfect, It was the same length as the bracket and also long enough to reach the intercooler end tank on the bottom. Make sure you find someone that knows what they are doing because the first guy put to much heat into it and we both watch a crack run about 20mm from the point of which he was welding which also run along the underside of the original bracket which we did no have access to now. So we had to weld all the sides on the new bracket which only increased the risk of it happening again. Good luck

I can take pics of my repair this afternoon. Shoot me your email addy.
I know the repair you are speaking of were the mount was reinforced but in my opinion all that was needed was a weld across the top of the mount were the triangle bracket fits. I trimmed the triangle bracket back after adding the weld and it has worked great since. In the original design the mounting piece is only welded on the sides and bottom and it kind of has a cantilever effect and rips the welds/mount right off when you start launching your ski.
I have the thread of other repair somewhere let me search my puter and post it also
