    rxp bad idle

ok so i have a 2004 rxp with 25hours on rebuilt engine after eating the washers. so its runs great, strong. cavitates quite a bit but i will look into that this week. but my problem is that when it gets hot it stalls every now and then. or when its hot and it is idleing and you blip the throttle is will shut off. any ideas?

Could be a number of reasons.
Why do you say when is hot?
    Motor getting hot?
    Any codes?
    More discription will help.

Does it only die when idling or under throttle.

Was then motor cleaned out at washer failure completely and all worn parts replaced.?
    Not just SC relaxed.

I'm not going to venture much without more information but with only 25 hours on 04 its been sitting long time.

when i say getting hot, i only mean warm, like 30 mins of riding with adecent amount of WOT. no codes are showing up. it only dies when comming off throttle hard down to an idle. the motor was completely tore down and everything that need replacing, oil pumps etc were replaced. the engine has 95 hoursbut only 25 since rebuild.

Gotcha, maybe change out the fuel filter and fuel pump.
Does it crank right back up if you remove the dess and put it back on?

I had a similar problem where mine would also die at idle and it ended up being the idle bypass valve. It's located on the TB, id at least check the connectors to it and make sure nothing looks funny. But DONT take it apart because you wont get it back together haha!

    new problem

so i was digging around the ski today and found some cavitation causes like the pump fins half broke, slight leak in carbon seal, andat the top of the problem i found a crack in the pump housing behind the carbon boot. the fiberglass looks hacked or melted or something, but their is a hairline crack in it if you look close. what the hell do i do about this? sand it down epoxyand re-fiberglass? need some suggestions.Click image for larger version.

they all look like that (terrible) you can just sand it and put some epoxy resin in there. if water is not leaking in its unlikely to cause cavitation so check prop/wear ring condition and clearance
