    80mph GPR 800 Project!!

    I am serious.

SInce we are in the season Frankenstein rules running rampant, lets take a poor decrepid dog of a ski and give it an attitude that everyone will be talking about.

A GPR 900+ twin, stroked w/ twin pipes and wot porting, race gas and goes 80mpk???

If you got some donor parts...no matter what conditiion, I think I can get this ski running. We need donor ski, engine, pipes, MSD, pump ...anything you got I will use and after the Bug..then baby bug goes to highest bidder? Or maybe one sole donor who wants his GPR800 to make history. And before anyone says it can't be done...I talked to p;ayers who believe.

JUmp in if you have something to say or give...this will be one heck of a "sleeper"

Since reaching 80+ on a single pipe 1300 is still a huge achievement (regardless of the fact that we've all become jaded by the members on this forum who've done it), I'd say doing it on an 800 twin would be impossible. You're cutting out 1/3 of the hp from a 1300 and expecting to hit the same speed? I realize the weight savings, but I don't think it's going to make up for the loss of hp.

Big pistons, twin pipes and stroked..should give very close to the needed power. It will be on the edge for sure, but it's never been done. So it does'nt mean it can't be done.

I am just thinking out loud...but, I would give it a shot this spring if I have time.

1200 single pipers with no porting are closing the gap and I know according to the hp numbers on a highly modded twin with 90mm pistons +stroked would be in the ballpark.

Its great to dream... and kudos to you Mike for even trying...

but how many 1200s are even near 80 ???

If I was you I would send that donor hull over to the Fountain Boys for some massaging
