    94 750 heads with stamped serial #?

Hello, newbie to this forum, and was wondering if anyone has run across heads that have matching stamped serial #'s...just bought a 3rd ski (94 pol 750)and tore into it. has reed spacers, block off, triple pump in it. The heads are much shorter overall than the other heads i have and seems the combustion chambers are much smaller. Are these some sort of factory high compression head? thx

Wow, what is the difference in height? They have been cut down as Kevin said for higher compression, and looks like alot.Running heads with higher compressin means you'll really have to watch your fuel, and maybe run a mixture of some 110 to be in the range needed. If you want to run pump gas, you might want to find a stock set. Did you check compression on the ski?

they are .250" shorter than the other heads...didn't check compression as the pto cylinder had hole through it. my first thought is that they were decked, but the finish in the domes looks oem. and the stamped #'s are a puzzle..i imagine they are to show a matched set, but no idea who did them and specs on them. looks like previous owner did everything possible to mod it...halved the case to clean to find what feels like lighter flywheel and hotrods...ride plate, new impeller. not bad deal for $200. as i am getting pretty good at rebuilding the 750.

    Definately modiifed stock heads.

Dome shape looks like it may be from PSI.

I know they use to stamp there work with serial numbers too.

I had a set of heads like that before. They came with 1/4" spacers/washers because the "acorn" flange nuts would bottom out if you didn't use them because of the material removed like you described.

I'm pretty sure those are PSI masssaged heads.

Here, the 1994 catalog will give you some good reading.

Psi tech info only-no questions please

They go on to explain the head mod.
