    pump tunnel crack

so i was digging around the ski today and found some cavitation causes like the pump fins half broke, slight leak in carbon seal, andat the top of the problem i found a crack in the pump housing behind the carbon boot. the fiberglass looks hacked or melted or something, but their is a hairline crack in it if you look close. what the hell do i do about this? sand it down epoxyand re-fiberglass? need some suggestions?

I would do a carbon fiber reinforcement but that far exceeds my knowledge of major component repair. Post this in the GPR section, a person who knows more about pump tunnel reinforcement might be able to help you out. It looks like an easy fix, but I would not try this myself.... Good luck with it...

I don't see anything unusual in the pics,i did a complete rebuild on my pumptunnel after some major cracks in the tunnel.
It's a lot of work i used kevlar and carbon.
But in the pics i don't see any damage, but you can reinforce the tunnel by wrapping it with carbon or kevlar.

I buy my composites from AVT composites or if I have to fibre Glast although they are expensive. Not sure about shipping into canada though.

    That's no crack,it isn't a nice piece of work,but won't cause any problems.
