    winch mount!

    Got it mounted now I just have to use it to pull the motor! this winch is nice and was only $70 at harbor freight!

    Did you miss the studs the first time you try to hang it.........

    nope never missed a stud! those marks are from the sheet rock guys! (I still need to paint the ceiling)

    Yes,i have a room above my garage.The joists are 2x12 .I used 'U' bolts that were 13 1/2" in length to anchor this bad dude.Its not moving anytime soon.

    Dude That is sweeeet, excellent mounting idea!

    I live in a Townhouse, so I doubt the joist are that heavy in my garage...
    I have luck like Geo, the friggin ceiling would come down as soon as I hit the switch! ...PR...
