    2006 Seadoo RXP Coolant Issue

I have a 2006 Seadoo RXP that I bought at the beginning of the season. This thing had a brand new Seadoo motor put in it in June of last year and only had about 6 hours on when I bought it. We have not even put 3 hours on it since we got it. Anyway, about 3 weeks ago we rode and it started giving the P1116 code. We can get on it and ride for less than 5 minutes, it beeps and throws the code. When you open the seat you can see where coolant has shot across the top of the plastic cover on top of the motor and then coolant comes out of the bilge plugs. I have put a brand new water temp sensor in it and put a brand new coolant tank cap on it. Did find a small hole in one of the coolant hoses and fixed it. Took it to the lake and still does the same thing. Someone had mentioned maybe a head gasket. But there is no water/coolant in the oil and no oil in the coolant. Could it be the water pump or thermostat? Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

You may have a bad thermo!Did you get the air out of the cooling system when you change the sensor?

You need to clean up the coolant mess on the engine then take it to calm water where you can ride it with the seat off to see where it is spraying from or get a pressure tester and adapter to pressure the system!

When the head gasket let's go, it will be between the combustion chamber and the water passages, so you will pressurise the cooling system and there will be no mixing of fluids.
I doubt this is your problem given the low hours. As was said already, going for a ride with the seat off should identify your problem....

You know they didn't.... Also, was it torqued twice? Torqued, ran, and then re-torqued?
