    Ride plate inserts

    Just looking for differnt tips on how to change the inserts. they are covered with that foctory blob and it doesn't wanna play ball. any tips?

    You can try a chiesel, or air chisel.

    Heat always works. Use a heat gun or some sort of torch. Use caution though... dont catch your self or your boat on fire. And be careful breathing that stuff, it cant be good for you.

    loosen the bolts a few turns and them hit em with a hammer! Works every time!

    Remove the pump shoe. Reinstall the bolts half way.

    Warm the area with a heat gun. Alternate prying up on the inserts and tapping up on the bolts. They will pop off the hull but the insterts will need to be replaced.
