    02 gp1200r Question

My buddie has a completley stock gpr. He would like to get more out of the hole. Can he just install the jet mod kit and thats it or does he need to have the full setup as far as d plate and cat mod and so on. Thanks

Also if you have any of these parts he needs or know where to purchase them please state where. Thanks

Jetworks mod is great. You can use the catalytic converter... but why ? You have to pull the pipe anyways. The D-plate will remove a ton of heat from the engine compartment.

You can get it straight from Jetworks.net, or Carl at Island racing sells the complete holeshot kit.

D-plate you can get from Jerry's store (Riva), or from R&D directly. FYI the R&D D-plate has a slightly smaller opening that is a good choice for the 1200s.

Another option is the O-plate which RX951 runs in his boat. You can get that one from Jetworks.

If you want a better hole shot, you need to seal pump... pay the extra $50, or go cheap and spend $5 on silicone.... but it's a must-do mod.
