F***n dealer. Even screwed up an oil change!
I guess it's the same whether it's a Corvette or a Yamaha. The dealers' techs just don't care any more.
I had my 10HR service done at the dealer just to make sure everything was good before I really started modding it.
I obviously should have checked their work.
I'm testing the new Vortech supercharger and decided to change the clutch while I was at it.
I start sucking the oil out and the bucket's getting fuller and fuller and fuller.
I ended up with about 5 1/4 quarts being sucked out, without the filter, and I'm sure there was more left in it. Typical dealer bullshit.

Why even pay them when you're going to void the warranty right away, anyhow?
Dealers don't touch anything of mine..

My old dealer pulled the same shit. Overfilled the oil by more than a quart. And for those of you who don't know, the SHO engine is very sensitive to overfilling the oil. For example, my ski would cut out at idle speed with the oil overfilled. This became incredibly dangerous when it would happen on the hose. If I wasn't standing by the ski when it happened, it could have hydrolocked my engine.

I refuse to let a punk ass tech, that can barely manage to prepare a grilled cheese sandwich, touch my ski.

I feel the same way the dears by me are parts changers not certified mechanics. I had to bring mine for warraty to put the check valve in the vxr so water didn`t come in from the bilge. Took them a week and still couldn`t fix, had to bring it to another dear that had a clue what he was doing.

dam glad i aint a mechanic in yalls area lol. I know there are some really crappy dealerships out there and some of the "Techs" could not figure out how to change a garbage bag. We, mechanics, are not all bad though. I myself make sure i read the owners manual for every different model waverunner that is on our floor. I have a Yamaha service manual for every different model of ski on our floor in my bathroom at my home. They get rotated from time to time to keep reading material fresh. The difference in our shop is I am the only mechanic, My Boss is kinda half and half, he half works the counter and half works the shop. Like when we change the oil i dont go by the book as to how many quarts go in. I go by the dip stick, we always run the ski before the oil change and after the oil change. Checking oil level Multiple times in the process.
heck 90% of the time in our area it the customer that screws up the oil change its usually on the MR-1 stuff though
