    200 RPM for a 94 750 SLT

Weekend numbers ------> 43 mph gps @ 6060 rpm with 300 lbs people and gear and 3/4 tank gas.

Pump / impeller is off of a 95 750 SL. So is ebox.

I believe I am running rich right now, but want to see how the wash plays out over the next couple of days....

    Any other suggestions?

I think the impeller for a SL is too much prop for that ski. 5131035 is what you need

Any idea what the difference is? http://parts.polarisind.com/Assemblies.asp (propulstion assembly #23) Says the 5131035 was substituted with the 5131079....?

I am going to have to pull the impeller and look at it....... http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15430 says a 95 Sl should have a 3 blade and the impeller installed is a 4 blade......

035 is what came on that ski (same as the SL and SLT 700)

079 was used on the SL 750 and the 1995 SLX 780

Both should be 4 blade impellers. Not quite sure what the difference is.

First, you need to look at your piston wash. If you're running rich, that will hurt your max RPM right there.

Add in the fact you're running a different impeller than what came stock on that machine and your carb settings will be different.

Take a quick peak down the plug holes and have a look-see.

If the 079 impeller is actually steeper pitched, you're going to stress the motor more than the 035. So that will require more fuel.

Take a look and make sure you're not lean....

Point is, check your wash and adreess the issue from there.

Put some more hours on it this past weekend. The wash is getting washier, but I think I need to spend more time on it to get a good reading......... Just need more time!!! And Weather!!!

Shouldn't take too long once the wash starts to form.

A couple good WOT passes will start to darken the domes, and from there you can assess the situation.

Throw a 780 Exhaust cooling orface in there for a solid 100 RPM after you check everything else. That motor should turn 6300.
