    XL1200LTD power valve fail

Hey guys new here any help appreciated.

i took my ski out the other day and after 5mins off riding, it shattered a little bit and turned off, couldnt get it to start again, brag it home started stripping the motor to find chucks of metal inside, found the problem was the pin holding the power valve fell out and the power valve got eaten by the piston. has anyone else had this problem?

also if you guys could point me in the right direction to get new oem piston and power valve? cylinder and everything else is ok just need those 2 new parts to get it running again.

    thanks

After you fix that, make sure you pick up yourself some wave eater clips to prevent this from happening again.

Yes, you need one for each PV. They are a must-have item for the PV engines.

I sent you a pm. You always want to buy the waveeater kit with the couplers.
