    2003 4tec supercharged oil leak

I have a 2003 4tec supercharged ski with oil leaking into the hull, it has been in the shop 3 times already and still leaking. The PTO seal and all other seals that can be replaced without removing the engine have been replaced. Any suggestions??

    Welcome to the GH FORUM!

Try checking the shaft seal/bearing. When is it leaking? can you see oil filling the bilge while on the trailer or only after a ride? How much oil are you loosing in how much time? Is the oil in the bilge, or does it look like its been sprayed all over ?

I have a '03, and I just had to order a new oil filter cap. The 2003 was the only year to use a plastic cap, and mine was leaking only when the motor was at higher rpm's. I had to find it by keeping my ski on the trailer while backed into the water just enough to submerge the pump. I brought the rpm's up and finally found my leak. I was loosing a quart about every 10 min of riding.

I purchased the ski this summer but prior to me purching it the previous owner took it to the shop because the oil light came on, the shop rebuilt the super charger and oil filter cap replaced, that was in Nov 10 it was not put back into the water prior to my purchasing it, I put it into the water and the oil leaked into the hull and the light came on I took it back to the same shop and they replaced the PTO seal and bearring I put it back into the water and the same thing happened all the oil leaked into the hull back to the shop and the magneto gadket and front seal was replaced I was told that all the seals that could be replaced without taking the engine out have been replaced, took it back out this weekend and the same thing has happened the hull is full of oil the dip stick is down about 1 1/2" no light yet I used it for approx 1 hour. Any suggestions or insite you might have would be greatly appreciated.
