    Riva race trim tabs

I have located some used race trim tabs with the flaps on the rear (handlebar controlled). I notice that they are 3mm thicker than the stock 1300 tabs. Should I trim some or all of this extra thickness off? The 06 gp1300r is used for marathon's, and I am fitting these tabs to get more stability in rough water. I do not want to lose any speed. Has anybody had experience with thes tabs as they are no longer available. REXA.

Most of your aftermarket tabs are .100 thicker than stock... and that was measured using old 1200 metal tabs.
