Smile Best 15f Ride Plate? (yes I used the search function)

Most of the threads I've found are old and inconclusive. I see many things mentioned about this Shredmaster brand and R&D, but no conlusive evidence that's newer than a couple years old. Most Shredmaster threads are left without much feedback other than it's better than a stock plate in rough water. (the ocean I'm assuming??)

Have things just not changed? Any new companies that make a plate with a newer mill/shape?

I ride freshwater lakes in Central Florida, not much chop on most days in my opinion.

    Suggestions?

if there's not much chop and overall conditions on your lake are relatively sedate then I would just stick with the stock ride plate on this boat. JB

I have the r&d plate and I really like it, it keeps the back planted much better than the stock and picks the nose up a lot and makes the ride much more stable in the rough. I cant comment on the shredmaster but most people who have them say they are worth it as well.

    Would I buy again? yes

my suggestion is borrow both if you can and ride with both and see what you like more.... what works for one person doesnt necessarily work for the next.

exactly. Set your boat up for you. That is what I did. My ski rides like a dream. Put someone else on it and it rides like total shit. I took the hours and hours and hours an hours of painstaking work and time to set it up properly. It's all about how you set it up IMO! Setup is everything. Just my .02.

True True, I wish I had the option to test the shred.
