Just received the email from RIVA, too. The I/C looks good and something I would be interested in. Any pictures or info on the core that is being used.

Do we know why Seadoo reduced the size of the Intercooler for the 2012 skis?

I assume the 2012s are the exact same hp as previous skis.

    Probably costs..
2012 will be the same hp. Smaller i/c is most likely less efficient.

there are many variables when it comes to intercoolers. a bigger intercooler isn't always better.

The smaller IC in the new PX reduces the rpm's by 200+.

If it has a more efficient core then it will be better then the original X ICer, Im not saying it is, I havent tested the new one but just because it smaller doesnt make it perform worse.

The IC I have liked best so far was the original Riva/Vortech ICer, it was real small had pretty good pressure drop and was very good at cooling, coz it was small the throttle response was faster too. But unfourtunatly they were V expensive and fragile.
