Differences Between SPX or a 96 XP 110hp
Hi guys whats the diferences in these 2 skis appart from engine size are the hulls the same or different.
Also I have a found a 99 SPX 110hp I didnt even know they made them that late what hull is this ski running the same as the older SPX or XP.
Any info would be great what i looking for is a 96 XP but if the spx is running the same hull whats different i ask

same hull. The OLD XP's became spx and they came out with the new XPL in 97 and above.

"In 1997, Sea Doo, actually Rotax in Austria, upgraded the heat treating of the front flywheel as the 95-96 flywheels are prone to cracking. They made a new bracket for attaching the ignition pickup that always breaks off of 95-96 models. They added 1mm to the diamerter of the counterbalance shaft, and radiused the bearing areas so it would not snap in half. The later models have more refined carbureators and accellerator pumps, better quality starter motors and suttle changes were made to the ignition system. Those are the biggest refinements, I'm sure there are more."
Many think the 1999 SPX were left over 1998 SPX's.

99 spx is the perfect SLEEPER...it is practically identical to the 96XP...just different collor...GET IT if available...
