    F1 CODE

    Hi guys hope you all well today while out had falt code f1 come up not sure if we coverd this post but if anyone could help engine didnt shut down to limp mode still had full throttle has it got to go back to dealer and should i take scom off ?

    I suspect the wire you plug into the ECU is a little loose, it has to be well secured - I used a little silver epoxy on mine and since then haven't had a problem

    Try pushing the "Mode" And "Set" simultaneously for three or four seconds and see what pops up on the LED screen. That should give you a more specific error code.

    and it is not F1 but FI ( fuel injection ).

    Ski suddenly fell to 3 to 4 thousand rpm, beeped and flashed F1. Hit mode and set switch, got col 2. Ski gets to 4500 rpm then stays there in an enhanced limp mode. No manual, whats a col2?

    Ignition coil #2, #3 malfunction,
    wiring open or short

    The ECU shuts off the injectors
    #2/#3 to stop fuel to the cylinders
    #2/#3

    Thank you for that. Now the further detective work begins...maybe just a loose ECU plug but that would be too easy I'm sure.

    Ecu plug bad coil or wire wire are easy to check start ski grab each individual wire if u get a shock u found the problem
