Got to test the new Vortech supercharger today. First impressions.

I put on the new Vortech supercharger last weekend and went out for some testing. Unfortunately a water hose blew off behind the exhaust manifold and the ski started to sink.
It ran 77.7 with 6" of water in the bilge!
4 weeks ago it ran a best of 83.7 with less than a quarter tank. It made 15 PSI with the E1 wheel.
I ran it this morning with the Vortech and the lowest pressure boost wheel they make for this supercharger. There are a number of higher pressure wheels available. It made 18 PSI and ran 85.5 with a fully topped off gas tank.
I plan on using up most of the gas and going back out tomorrow morning to see what it will pick up with a lighter load.
It sounds like a real blower compared to the stock unit. It has a nice whine to it and seems to pull harder throughout the entire range.
I'm sure my prop, pump etc is not optimised, so I think there is a lot of potential with this unit.
I'm anxious to see what an empty gas tank will do for me.

I forgot to measure but there is a significant difference in actual size.

Hay Andy! What RPM are you turning. I might have to put my motec ECU on that thing and see what it can really do!

Yeah. I really need to get with you on that. I'm getting to the point that I really need to go with a Motec.
It was turning 8700, I believe.
AFR was 12.6 - 12.7 It's a little lean for my taste but I mixed in a bunch of 110 Octane in so I wasn't too worried.
I'm probably out of injector, but I have no way to tell.
I want to talk to you about my pump setup, too.
I'll try to call you next week.
