You can check out the waters I ride in. Lake Ponchatrain and Industrial Canal. I use to work there. Started out as an outfitter or outside machinist. Helped build all the boats in the video. John Dane is the owner along with Felix (can`t remember last name) who owns(ed) the NASCAR Coors Light team. They also owned on the same property Equitable which both were a part of Halter Marine. Helped build the Venezuela Patrol boats and the MK-V (Navy Mark 5). This is also the exact site of the Higgins Patrol boats and Higgins lumber yard.

Anyone looking for work they are on an emergency hiring spree since Katrina. Yeah,,,it does cross my mind,,,but the money would have to be right and at minimum boat foreman or foreman position. And still,,,the money would have to go huge.
But if your in to boats and wanna build the BEST in the world,,,this stuff is bar none! There are 4 other places doing this big of money in yachts in the world. This is the ONLY one here in the U.S. This stuff is real high cost. Not really dirty either since its all aluminum construction. We were doing one that was like 350 feet and low estimate was 500 million. The hull on that vessel as per USCG regulation was steel hull. I believe aluminum is good for 250'.
