    RXP Oil

    Hi,

I have been looking at oil to put into a new rebuild of a 2005 RXP engine

I have come across some 15w-40 Mineral Oil from Penrite. It is reasonably priced and is a good quality oil here.

My question is, do I have to use 10W-40 or will this be ok?

Nope. The NA 4-tecs run synthetic. The only reason that the s/c models were designed to use mineral oil was because most syns have friction modifiers that cause the s/c clutches to slip and wear prematurely.

If the fully synthetic oil has a Jaso MA/MA2 rating, its good to go.
