    Preferd location for Strainer forX- intecooler?

    Any preference on the location of the Surflo inline strainer?

    I put mine directly above the VTS with 2 bolts....

    Thanks, were we ride in Galveston Bay there is lots of crud, and at the race sites lots of weeds and hydrilla,

    does this seem to help?

    I put mine on the left side of the storage bucket so it is easy to empty when the time comes. Put it somewhere else and it becomes very difficult to check and empty when needed on the water.

    Seems like you would loose water pressure from mounting it way up there?

    Why would you add a strainer to a system that already has a strainer?? OC pressure is equal in all directions it does not matter where it is mounted if you chose to use one.

    You'd be surprised to find the amount of debris that gets sucked in. Especially in the swamp...

    10000 percent agree, My strainer gets so much crap in it. That stupid pump strainer does not do a good job. I had my first IC in 04 fail from being clogged from crap. I will never run without one ever again. I also advise everyone to run one aswell to save there external IC's
