    215 SC Impeller Cap Nut

Hi again, so a buddy of mine asked me to come take a look at his ski because it was only going 6k Rpm and he heard a clanking sound. So i pulled the SC for him to find that the Cap nut and washer had completely fallen out of the SC, they were resting in the intake tube. The impeller is banged up pretty good but the rest seems to be okay. The metal washers are in place and seem okay. Anyways, here's a picture let me know what you think.

That charger is trashed. Time for a new one. Bet he dropped a washer as well. Pull it out and split the housing as SNOMAN stated. Post pics of it after you split it and the washer side.

Front cover surprisingly is ok...The impeller must have been seized to the shaft..the back housing and impeller are done....It will also need a rebuild kit as the whole shaft assembly has started to walk and you dont know what kinda stress was put on the bearings...

Okay, so I'm thinking I'll just find a use one in the classifieds for him. He says I can keep that one, but would it be possible for a machine shop to clean that up and mill it to fit an x setup?? Just wondering.

You can try, you will also need a new front cover to fit the X wheel....Also the clearance on the backside will cause the Scer to lose or not create the amount of boost expected..only thing i would worry about is the impeller flexing at high RPMs hitting the housing again...

Well, basically the front is useless to without the back...best bet is to just find a used one in the classifieds..this one will cost you more money to try to fix than its worth...put it in the classifieds as a junk Scer, some guys buy these to use for mock up or testing units..you may get 25-30 bucks for it..
