    Attn:Jerry

I wanted to go back through my ski and see if I may have overlooked something while installing Riva Rear intake that may be causing surging while at crusing speed. What I found when I took off my IC surprised me !! It felt alittle heavy, when I flipped it over water poured from both the air intake and air exit When pressure tested,it(My IC) has a leak
    Can it be fixed?
For having a leaky IC my #'s were not bad!! I can only hope for better!!

Alex it was my understanding that RIVA is a real big help with replaceing them! So take it in. I think BTtek got one replace and someone else.

Alex, you will need a new IC. Give Riva a call and see what they can work out with you.

Not bad numbers at all for having a leaking IC

    Alex,
I just tested my Ski with the Riva Intake and it was surging as well. But I do not think the IC is damaged. Will that be the cause of the surging? because I heard this blower surge and it was normal.

Also, you were having the lag problem when you went WOT. Mine does not do that. Instant acceleration but you hear the surging no rev lim. I was down 300rpm with the 81mm in the sea. 82mm is the way to go for salt water. That should bring them up to 8500rpm. My friend's Stage III was kiking by bud and he had the 82mm.

My lag problem was my boat sucking water through the IC

Did you do any GPS runs?

no, it was too choppy, and the 81mm killed power on salt water. In the lake felt super strong.

There is a lot of smoke coming out of the breather when full throttle and some smoke when iddling. The engine compartment gets filed with smoke. Is that Normal? Is yours doing the same?

    Let's ride in two weeks.........

Blow-by or too much oil in motor.
