Stock Barpad Cover Change
I would like to change the color of my ski and i was wondering how u take the bar pad cover or off the the stock handle bar. I would like to put new material over it and was wondering if someone could tell me how i can remove it.

you should see little hex screws, I think they are 5.5mm hex holding the 2 plastic steering covers together. You would need to remove grips, remove rubber plugs in the ends and you`ll see the bolts that hold the grips in place...watch that the inserts don`t fall out of the bars...then you have to remove thumb throttle assy and the switch assy, allen set screws underside of them, and a small phillips screw that holds the covers on them...once they are slid back or removed unbolt the sterring housing halves and you`ll see 2 10mm head hex bolts that hold the pad onto the steering handle bar hub...Hope this helps...PR...
This PDF is for a GTX I`m pretty sure yours is similar unless the model years changed that much...

Exactly as PR states above. you can either remove the factory vinyl, or go over it with a new piece of marine vinyl. just make sure you use SS or monel staples so they dont rust.
