Thread: polaris cdi ?

    Question polaris cdi ?

    Hi does anybody know if cdi's are compatible for 750 triple and 900 triple?
    is timing advance different ??
    I know they had differnt accesories in different years on ski,s but this is a project build
    so i would like to use different cdi
    Projet is 650 bare bone with 900 powerplant

    No the 650,750,780 and 785 are Fuji motors and the 700, 777, 900,1050 and 1200 are domestic polaris,

    Thx!! Great info so the fuji cdi's where the same?

    Yes and no for the Fuji's.

    The early 650,750 was analog.
    The later 1995+ 650,750 and 780's were digital.
    The 785 has separate coils triggers, raised RPM limiter and exhaust valves.

    Well I dont care about the displays at all so basically they were the same in terms of spark?
    up to 780.

    Only if you have the matching stator.
    Digital Stator and Digital CDI
    Analog Stator and Analog CDI.

    So you installed a 900 engine into a SL 650 hull. Whay are you interested in the Fuji (blue engine) CDI's?

    You'll need a 900 or 1050 CDI to work with that engine.
