    Pro 785 engine swap

Now that the weather is not 100* in the shade I am going to start the engine swap from my wrecked race ski to the new hull I have been working on,
I have trued the hull bottom and have fixed all the rubrail, and it is ready to be turned over,
    A quick question,
    1. should I install the ride plate before I turn it back upright?
Or while it is off it is easier to align the shaft?
    thanks,

Ride plate doesn't affect alignment at all.

So it doesn't matter either way.
