If your going to be doing mods, The intake grate is a good place to start as a seafety item before doing any other go fast mods, Then its a question of how fast and how much, For basics go for Ribbon delete, Air filter, Exhaust, One of the best mods in my opinion anyway is MOTEC, Better fuel economy and along with the basic mods makes the ski a completely different beast, Its expensive but sets the ski up to get the best out of all your mods.

    Welcome to the forum.
As said earlier, definitely replace the intake grate. Next, kick back with your favorite beverage and start reading. The how-to's and 4-stroke sections will give you a good start on modifications and upgrades you might want to do. Also familiarize your self with the search function. There is a ton of valuable information at your finger tips.

Its sounds like you already have some good wrenching experience with your history in 2-strokes. Your going to really enjoy the HP and performance that you can unlock with these ski's. Enjoy

I would hold off a bit on the motec, until the Athena ecu has been tested. It might be a cheaper alternative to a motec, only time will tell.

Intake grate first, then it's just like any other engine, air in, air out..

look into a stage 1 kit..it usually has all the good stuff in it..... my uncle is at 71 (72 at mud bug) with only stage one kit...good bang for the buck ( if you can get a jims modded vx plate you will be flying even faster with total reliability ) hope this helps.

That link goes to the SHO grate. I think this is the one you are looking for http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...oducts_id=1120

And no need to upgrade the clutch on a stock ski. If you run high boost, there are some new products that will be of great benifit.
