    E box help ...

I opened my ebox and found that the red/purp rail is corroded broken and loose, also I have a brown wire that I think came free when opening and I dont know where it goes.

Is there a wiring diagram. And any suggestions with the free rail?

You should clean the red purple rail and reconnect to ensure clean connections. Make sure the fuse is good to while you are in there. Blown fuse will prevent the mfd from working.

The circuit board should be labeled with each color, unless it is too corroded to read. The board does not act as a true circuit board. The rails are used as jumper points and do not need to be connected to it for things to function properly. If it is no longer connection and loose in the box, after cleaning and reattaching everything, you should insulate it with shrink wrap or electrical tape.

Would you call the brown "tan" or dark brown?. If it is tan, it is a temp sensor off of the water rail or exhaust pipe and should be connected to the "tan" connection on the board which then in turn connects to the "tan" wire on the CDI to shut down in the event of overheating.......

If your board is pretty corroded and hard to read, you usually can find one on ebay for a fairly reasonable price.....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Polaris-Elec...item27b8fa0c44 not that this price is terribly reasonable......
