Rust on Shaft in front of the bellow?

I noticed that there was a little rust on the shaft directly in front of the thru hull bellow?
I also notice a black line of something that was slung out of the front of the bellow that made a black line all the way around the bilge and the inside walls of the ski?

the bellow looks good, the hose clamps are tight, does the piece on the shaft just rub on the front peice that is attached to the bellow?
    thanks,

The black line is normal. It is the wear of the carbon seal. Has it been replaced recently? How many hours on the ski?

You can pull the driveshaft and clean up the rust if you want.

If you're getting that black line all the way across.. I would replace it.

+1. Don't risk sinking your shit. Not worth it. Change it, your bellow, c clip, and floating ring. Do not do the seal only.
