    Torx screw adapter

    Torx screw adapter

This is what riva calls for in order to remove that top SC bolt. I'm having issues removing it with my 12 point 1/4 wrenches and 6 point 1/4 wobbly socket so I want the correct tool before I completly ruin the head.

I've been told I should be looking for either Torx+ or Inverted Torx, or Female Torx. I can find these tools, but not in a size that I can fit in the area needed.

Can someone take a picture of the correct TORX tool they use for this job.

This is what I found online, but this won't work since my rachet won't fit in the area if not on a wobbly socket

here is me trying in vain to get the fucking thing off

The best tool for this job is a 1/4" ratchet box end wrench. The ratchet box end wrench is hard to find, but a normal 1/4" box end works well for me. You will never get a socket in that spot. I put one finger on the wrench to hold it on the bolt head to get it started. It's a pain in the ass no doubt.

Krazy, thanks for the heads up I found them online, but they are not in stock at any store near me. Looks like I'll order them.

everyone else. I first used the 1/4 box wrench but that started to strip it. Not sure if mine is on extra tight or what?

I`ve replaced that Torx head bolt with a regular hex head bolt so now I just use a open end 10mm wrench, easy!
