    GTX - RXTX Project, HELP REQUIRED

    hey guys ive only been into waverunners for a year and i have a 03 gtx and a rxtx hull. I want to put the gtx motor in the rxtx hull and turn it into a 255. All i would need is a racing ecu, 42# bosch injectors, and a x charger wit a better air flow setup?

    I would love if you guys can tell me what I should do to get maximum performance. So beginning of next year i can get more mods.

    Also I would love some assistance...

    You need a lot more than that. The 03 GTX came with 185hp engine. Cast pistons, no intercooler and smaller supercharger and main gears.

    im getting a external intercooler.... but what do I do

    Forged pistons of a 215hp seadoo.
    Flywheel with drive gear of a 215 supercharged seadoo.
    I recomend doing the SC oiler mod in the PTO cover.

    X charger external intercooler
    RRFPR and injectors.

    The pistons are the weak link. You can search the forum and find a few guys who have gone with bigger injectors, sc, intercooler and an ECU reflash and not had problems up to about 18 psi. then you can also find a slew of build threads because a piston came apart. If you have an extra $2k to add in parts to your swap, you might do fine. Maybe search the conversion section to see if anyone else has done the swap. Most people who pull the 4-tec put them in a GPR hull. The fastest way to go right now!

    if your only planning on running a full X setup, the cast pistons should be fine. Anything larger than that i would start to worry.

    I thought about it and I was thinking of changing the 185 into a 215 with some decent parts like keep the external intercooler, bigger injectors than stock, stock ecu, 4" air flow, intake grate, modded ride plate, pitched prop. For now, do yu think it wud b a big step from the 185 to a 215 with all dese mods?

    Yes, it would be around the speed and performance of a stage 1 RXT.

    why not sell the GTX and buy a running 255 motor with electrics and intercooler and drop in and go?

    I cant find a 255 motor on island
