    cold air kit

Hi new to site, have been riding kaw for past 10 years went from 250 to the 300 ultra lx have two of them . most of riding is done in saltwater will go up to 100 or more miles on one trip every other weekend .when flushing skis will use fogging oil for blower, will the cold air kit help for the salt that gets in the ski because it has a filter. also best after market product for better low and mid tourqe range .most riding are on rivers that lead to coast very winding not much need for top speed. thanks Larry

If you mean the paper filter kit that fits below the glove box, then no. It increases risk of water penetration. Filter is not waterproof. Pour water over it and it leaks through. Right above airbox.

Not sure if you guys notice, but even the stock plastic cover under the glove box let water get in if you take a big one in the face.
I have notice a lot of salt water on the voltage regulator and coil. Apply silicone to seal it properly.
