Surf Riding - are they made for it? - video

I recently picked up a 94 SL750. After going over the entire ski and getting everything working, I took it to the local surf to give "wave jumping" a try. The video below shows what happens when you jump a 25 year old ski in 3-4 foot surf.

Anyone have an old hull in the New england area?

I see your ski has Maine reg numbers. There is a 93 750 in Scarborough for 225 said it needs pump rebuilt thats on craigslist, and I see thats where this one came from.

25 years old???? Guess math isn't your specialty.....

Unfortunately that's the weak spot of the hull. You'll see tiny cracks forming near the fuel selector valve if you beat on the ski pretty hard. They will wave jump with no problem, but they're not indestructable.

Best way to land them is a$$ first. That'll break the water easier than a "flat landing" which pounds the hull. (and your wrists)

I did the same sort of damage to a 97 pro about 10 years ago off the Texas coast... Not fun
