    Question Advice on con rods for the 4tec engine

    After a search here on the hulk I need some advices on con rods for the 4tec engine.What you use?Brands-prices-websites!!!
    Any opinion will be fine!

    I believe that Les Cooke uses lightened stock rods on his builds..

    What RPM are you wanting to turn????Stock rods are good believe it or not...IF You want you can go with Carrillo lightened rods:

    Hey Sno,thanks for your reply!I know that the stock ones are good,but I am looking to find what other guys use!
    I will turn my engine up to 9000!I also know the carrillos,but,they didnt work fine for two skis here!

    Gotcha brotha...Do you mind me asking why they didnt work???we have couple skis here in Chi-town running them with no issues at high RPMs.....

    From what I can understand,it was mistake of the mechanic.The first ski split the rod in two halfs!!!!!The other had a bearing failure....I have also seen so many skis running them with no probs at all,but those two failures scare me a lot....

    That service is still offered if you use lighter pistons but SDC use carrillo rods on cc builds now.
