2012 ultra lx
I dont mean the SC version but the NA.
Does anyone have first hand ride experience on this model and how will it fare in the endurance circuit ? Eg... MH ?
What would HP, range and top speeds be in stock form ?

I have an 07 and if I did not get the 300 I would be riding mine in the MH. You will get 7 laps WOT flat calm. Mine is over 60

If it is very rough you will have as good a chance as any is the way I look at it. You have the ultra hull. you will get at least 8 laps in rough conditions possibly 9, less things to go wrong. In rough conditions you would change the setup but you will be able to run 54-55 all day long so I would think a very good chance of placing. If it were not for my teammate, I will have my LX there and in a very sloppy condition I would run it. He said 300 only so I will just joy ride my LX for the days before the race and let it watch from the trailer. At least I will have it there in case.
Long story short to answer your question. Yes I first hand have experience with the ski. In conditions where none of the other skis would really be able to run any faster you would fare well ESPECIALLY against the other NA skis out there. They VXR and STX15 can run faster on the flat water but you have an ULTRA hull.

Well said. The motor is nearly idiot proof stock.

Just upgrade the LX pump bearing setup to the 300X spec if you have a 2011 or older LX. The 2012 LX has the same 300X pump bearing setup. You will need following parts:
131070728 - Shaft (new, threaded end)
920151512 - Nut (new)
920453744 - Fr bearing x 2 (same)
920453745 - Rr Bearing (same)
920493739 - Seal x 3 (same)
921390767 - Bushing (new, tapered)
I took photo of this 2007 LX being raced at 2011 Mark Hahn. Yes, the LX proudly "finished" the race when several forced induction skis DNF!

I am actually very interested in this as well. I have a friend who is looking to get one.
In flat water, stock, what speed would be really achievable and repeatable?
Did they put trim on the 2012 version? I'd better go check.

This is not so far fetched as it might seem! An NA Ultra should be able to go 150 miles on a tank of gas (22 gals x 7 mpg). This is a "1" pit stop boat at the MH300. And as the prior Posts already stated, you have the Ultra hull if it is a rougher day. The MH300 is won (and lost) in the Pits . . . it is a HUGE part of this race (trust me). I cannot see this boat outright winning this event. But put this boat on the starting line on a rough day with a coupla good riders . . . . that team would make some noise there!
