    At the very least you'd need aftermarket valvespring retainers like Les Cooke or Riva and lightweight valves.

    I'm running lighened valves and les retainers with a 9k limiter.

    If your going to spin 9000 RPM i would go with the Riva and the lightened valves..I would also make sure your bottom end is tight too...

    What about 8800RPM...., its enough with the Valvetrain upgrade?.....

    i would run valve train kit. that will be enough to spin to 9k...if you pull the head drop in some ferrea valves and be done.

    I'm turning 8800 using ferrea gen 2 valves, les cooke retainers, and stock springs with no issues.

    Herd the ferrea valves are not good to use? That the Seadoo 75s are better?


    Anywho. Just got off the lake. Re-pitched to 15/22 with some new mods. And got 81.8 sitting on the seat. at only 8300 rpms.

    Cant wait to drop in springs and rev to 9000 =D
