    Seat Cover install

Guys - here is a pic of my msx seat - I bought a blacktip cover for it, and I know you are supposed to leave the old one on, but this old one is pretty bad. I was going to duct tape over the cracks prior to recovering - any tips?

Remove it all the cracks will show through. I like to use an old tent rain fly under the new cover to help keep the foam dry.

I would remove it also. I think duct tape would get gummy overtime and even possible stain through the cover. Most boat seat cushions I have torn apart and redone were wrapped in plastic to keep moisture out of the foam......

One of the old seats i had here had thin blue foam pieces around the corners and near the front, and the tail end then cut to shape. looks like they used adhesive spray to keep them in place. just throwing that in from what ive seen.

Boy is that seat hit or what? lol sun baked like no other.

Yeah, unbelievable how baked it is for its age and nice condition of the rest of the ski.

Got the cover off - might try to use silk film - s'posed to work good at sealing it up
