    Wave jumping in Romania .

Here are some pics of me riding my 2006 gp1300r in a storm.
Ski was set-up for lake conditions not wave-jumping but it did ok.
Need to go for a Skat-Trak impeller .

    Enjoy :

It did land on top of me a couple of times but as long as you hang on to it and don`t let it get any distance when falling it`s ok.

Thank for sharing. Whats with the rocks on the 8th photo? I guess you better not get turn around out there or you would have a bad day for sure. I just look it up on google earth Mamaia beach looks like the place. I guess those are breaker for the beach. be safe out there.

Yeah the rocks are the breakers for the beach . I`m accustomed to them as I used to dive there when I was younger. Good place to take a break from the harsh conditions if feeling tired and can`t/don`t want to get to shore.
    And yes it`s Mamaia beach.

The waves don`t look that big in the pics but let me tell you , I could not see the shore while in the gap between the waves.

It looks very ruff. I like the oily water my self. Is the black sea have more salt then most oceans? Keep your eyes out for the spiny dog fish too.

Salinity is close to tear salinity that`s why it feels natural to open your eyes under the water and it doesn`t sting when the water evaporates and the salt remains in your eyes.
But I guess that makes it low.
I did get stung while fishing once and my whole arm got swollen up and hurt bad. They don`t look very different to ordinary dog fish ( we call them guvizi and hanus ) .
I did have a blast , my only grief is that the ski wasn`t set up for this kind of riding.
I upgraded the bilge pump to a 1100 gph one and it draws 5 amps instead of 3 . The fuse kept blowing when the ski was full of water and full duty was required of the pump.
The wires also look very flimsy . It`s also a bitch that you can only run the pump while ign is on. I`ll run a separate circuit this winter.
Because of the wedge and trim tab / plate angle it kept unhooking as it gathered up some speed and it would do a little jump just before a big wave and I would just plow through it.

    GOOD FUN though !

That would be a sweet wake to jump on a ski.
