Has anybody had problems with the fuel pump on a RXP?

I had replaced my fuel pump with a new one only to discover that the problem all along was a bad ground wire.

I traced the ground wire all the way to the top right pin on the A connector on the ECU. (brown wire/purple stripe) There was some trash in my connector. Probably from the last time i had my engine out and the wire harness was dragging in my dirty bilge

I ended up putting a fuel pressure gauge on my fuel line to keep tabs on my fuel pressure.

It's an Auto Meter 60 PSI gauge. Max fuel pressure for the 215 HP 4-tec's is 58 PSI so the gauge is perfect.

    Jerry,

My neighbor had a new JEGS $20 liquid filled 0-100 psi Fuel Pressure gauge laying around that he gave me so I am gonna hook it up. What size "AN" fitting did you use for the fuel lines. I take it that is a T fitting hooked onto the guage?

Yes, i used a 3/8 in. Nipple to 3/8 in. Nipple, with a 1/8 in. NPT Gauge Port.
The 3/8" hose fittings were very tight, but I made them fit

    Jerry,

Just makin sure my eyes are not playing tricks on me. The gauge is coming off of the fuel rail, right?

Yep, the gauge is installed in the fuel line that goes to the fuel rail.

    Thanks Jerry,

Found that adapter for $8 at a performance shop less than 5 minutes from where I work. 10 minutes later the gauge looks and works like a charm. A solid 58 psi. I gotta admit, I like that liquid filled..
